Are you looking for a job in Flanders or Brussels? Can't speak Dutch (yet or enough)? We know that can be a frustrating experience when looking for a jobseeker. In this conversation group we will share in a small group of jobseekers experiences about searching and finding a job in Belgium as a non-native speaker. Can you find jobs in English or do you really have to learn Dutch? Where can you learn Dutch or when can you find support to learn it? All these topics and more can be discussed.
We are also interested in hearing your experiences and questions. Get inspired by others who are on a similar journey. We're looking forward to get to know you!
Important
Every time a participant does not show up, we have an empty chair at our table that could have been filled by somebody else who wanted to be there. So don't forget to delete your participation on Eventbrite if you can't make it or contact Annelies. We only send tips or reports to participants who show up.
For who?
This activity is open for all jobseekers (not working jobseekers, working jobseekers, students etc..) who want to learn and discuss job search. You are welcome regardless of your age, industry, gender, education level, ethnicity, etc.
This activity requires enough knowledge of English to be able to participate in a conversation. Most of our participants don't have English as their mother language. You don't have to be fluent! We encourage Flemish jobseekers to join!
